Stephen Cliffe,
M.Sc.Ed., B.A.H., C.E.I.
 Mr.
Cliffe earned his Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science from Acadia University,
one of Canada's
finest post secondary institutions. He then earned his Masters of
Science in Education at Niagara University's renowned School
of Education in New York. He employs that training
and teaching experience in Alternative Education and High School settings
along with his previous work experience to ensure that the curriculum
developed is versed in strong, educationally proven learning strategies
that guarantee his clients a successful, and therefore functional, learning
experience.
Training &
Experience
Having spent over two decades in
various aspects of the personal protection and security field, Mr. Cliffe
brings extensive field experience having worked in both small and large venue
entertainment facilities, celebrity event protection, corporate protection
in the financial industry both in North America and other private security
provisions abroad. He has trained security personnel, current and
former military personnel, law enforcement officers, corrections officers,
teachers, corporate executives, entertainment venue staff and has both
designed and instructed courses for professional/collegiate women seeking
to defend against violence against women.
Having been fortunate enough to
have trained under a number of elite combative skills teachers, Mr. Cliffe
has gained a strong and fully functional understanding of the skills
required to successfully defend oneself in hostile environments and survive
criminal attack. His constant study in the field of combatives has
seen study in virtually all of the elite military combatives currently in
use with a variety of military services. This knowledge base coupled
with his extensive experience in asocial violence and practical knowledge of
cutting edge teaching pedagogy and programming allow Mr. Cliffe to offer a
unique and dynamically efficient learning experience. His skill sets
have been thoroughly vetted in real world applications.

Edward S. Wheeler
Mr. Wheeler earned his Bachelor of Science in
Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is the
Director of Manufacturing Engineering for a prominent electronics
manufacturer in Central New York.
Mr. Wheeler has experience with both
Shaolin Kempo and Shorin Ryu Karate. His studies under Mr. Cliffe have
illustrated the needs for a fighting system that is instinctive and uses
the understanding of body mechanics to deliver real world self protection
techniques. Transitioning from Karate to combatives revealed many of the
flaws associated with traditional martial arts training from a self
protection point of view.
In addition to training with combatives, Mr.
Wheeler is also an NRA Certified Instructor for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, and
Personal Protection. Additional training includes Red Cross First Aid / AED
/ CPR. Other interests include wilderness survival training, climbing,
hunting, and fishing.
