The TEACHSAFE™ course, unfortnately, is timely training is based upon Mr. Cliffe's experience in dealing within the educational workplace.  As a licensed, practicing High School educator, he is acutely aware of the challenges presented to educators who wish to know how to defend themselves and their students against violence that targets institutions of learning amid the rampant legal concerns. 

The initial parts of this course cover potential threat identification and reactive skills for preventing violence through situational awareness.  The psychology of criminal attacks in the school setting and trends as applies to school violence are examined.  This course includes the EXECUTIVE PFS FORCE CONTINUUM training to give educators a sound and directly applicable set of skills for close quarter restraint and termination, and ground base recovery. 

We teach educators to use common classroom techniques and instruments in the defense of their student's lives.  Positioning of students to minimize risk and targeting, quick access to communication, and choosing the right protocol with situational awareness to react to immediate threats are just some of the skill sets we provide.  Dealing with blunt force trauma weapons, edged-weapons, and firearms is also covered since we have witnessed that this is a sad reality in today's society. 

A practicum session with your school staff is offered as either an additional training module to give hands on experience in a realistic application scenario for this module in some areas.  If you wish information on this addition please email your questions and organization, including your position.  This practical session is advised to help train and assess the teachers in their ability to implement the protocols given to the student body and observe it with the students participating in a hands-on walk through.  We carefully coordinate with your school's on-site SRO and local EMT and Law Enforcement community for the practicum application.
